I’m just on my way back from a Vinyasa power yoga class at Fremantle Yoga Lab. There’s a fantastic teacher down there by the name of Shawn Taylor. I’m relatively new to Vinyasa but it’s basically a dynamic and flowing movement class that builds strength through the postures. Its really challenging but also incorporates a lot of focus on breath. I like it because it’s challenging but low impact, not like a lot of martial arts that can take a toll on your body.
Yoga gives me patience. It gives me a sense of fulfilment and it keeps me calm around my very active and boisterous twins. I know it helps a lot. With it, I’m a better parent and without it, I know my anxiety is a lot higher. So its good to get that energy out and keep that anxiety out.
You’ve caught me at a good time because I’m literally high from my class.
Now I’m ready to go home and take on the dishes!
